One Day Adventures is a corporate team building company that provides quality programs at great prices!  ODA's four signature programs include Ropes Course, Paintball Team Building, Amazing Adventure Race and Sedona Red Rock Zip Line Event.  These team building programs are readily available in Scottsdale, Phoenix, Sedona, Prescott Arizona.  ODA also travels nation wide with locations in California, Colorado, Oregon and Idaho.

Founders and Facilitators

Dr. Dave Brown Ph.D is a facilitator for One Day Adventures and recreation faculty at Scottsdale Community College.  Dave believes in the words of Plato, "You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation."  Previous to SCC, Dave was Director of Campus Recreation and an Outdoor Education Instructor at Salisbury University in Maryland. Dave has a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Recreation Management and Doctor of Philosophy degree from the University of Maryland, College Park.

Josh Parafinik MA is the founder and President of One Day Adventures.  He has been working in the field of recreation for the last 15 years.  Josh earned a Bachelor's degree in social psychology from Northern Arizona University and a Master's degree in Team Building, Leadership and Group Development.  His fresh and creative adventure programs have earned him numerous awards and teaching positions. 

Dr. Fancis Yerger Ph.D is a facilitator for One Day Adventures and the founder of Workshops for Youth and Families.  Dr. Franny has been presenting Workshops for adolescents, women and families nationally for more than 25 years. The volunteer peer facilitators program of youth-mentoring-youth, which she developed and for which she has been awarded recognition, is an integral part of the Workshops’ success. Dr. Franny is a retired psychotherapist and has a doctoral degree in Marriage and Family Counseling. In 2000, she was chosen for the Scottsdale Healthcare Spirit of Women Award for unsung heroines to honor her hard work and devotion to making a difference in the community and the lives of others.

In addition, Dr. Franny's numerous achievements have been recognized with the following awards: 2005 KEZ 99.9 Beth McDonald "Woman of the Year" Award, 2002 Mentorship Appreciation Award, 2001 Spirit of Women National winner, 2001 Women of Distinction Honoree, 2001 Athena Award Nominee, 2000 Spirit of Women Community winner. Workshops for Youth & Families is also the proud recipient of the 2002 Scottsdale Area Chamber's Sterling award.

Andy Lottman is a facilitator and guide for One Day Adventures.  Andy has been involved in the recreation field since the early 90s backpacking and mountain biking.  After several years as a Paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, Andy returned to Arizona to complete his degree in Parks and Recreation Management.

Justin Cooper is a facilitator and guide for One Day Adventures.  With an overwhelming love for burritos and Dutch oven cooking, it's difficult to keep Justin from guiding every trip.  Justin has a degree in Parks and Recreation Management and is currently splitting his time between the National Guard and post-graduate courses.
